- 8mm diameter x 2mm thick.
- +/-0.1mm tolerance.
- Each magnet's north and south pole are on opposite 5mm diameter faces.
- Excellent resistance to demagnetisation.
- Superior resistance to corrosion.
- Maximum operating temperature of 300 degrees Celsius.
This thin, small Samarium cobalt disc magnets may appear fragile but they are some of the most tenacious magnets in our range and despite the size of these disc magnets they are surprisingly strong. They can maintain their performance in incredibly high temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius and also have superior resistance to corrosion, even when they are uncoated making them ideal for use outside or in applications where they will come into direct contact with water. What is more, because they are rare-earth magnets they are impressively strong but as with all rare-eath magnets they are brittle. Samarium cobalt magnets are hard wearing and made to last, that is why they are commonly used in manufacturing, marine and aerospace applications.
