Easy to use electromagnet for lifting and holding applications. These magnets require a power source; when electricity is passed through them they produce a strong magnetic field and when the power is removed, the magnetic field disappears instantly.

These strong electromagnets, commonly referred to as ‘energise to hold’ magnets, generate a magnetic field when they are connected to a live direct current and have zero magnetic strength when ‘switched off’. Electromagnets are commonly used in door and hatch mechanisms on machinery, in automated assembly lines, for robotics and the lifting and handling of ferrous materials. Each magnet is supplied with approximately 610mm of wire for connecting to a direct current (DC) power source.
